Reverend John Hougen has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA for over 30 years serving congregations in Minnesota, Kansas, and Iowa.  In 2021, John moved to the Tampa area. He and his wife Jinger are happy to be residing in the Sunshine State, and they especially enjoy living near their four children (Jennifer, John, Johanna, and Justin) and their three grandchildren (Ella, Jack, and Owen). John’s ministry focus is on building relationships.  He passionately believes that good, solid relationships become the engine that drives a successful organization.  John is certified in the PCUSA Transitional Ministry Training, and he brings his experience and skills to his ministry at HPPC.  In his leisure time, John enjoys traveling, golf, and a crisp craft beer enjoyed with friends.

Ann Orand

Ann Gillen Orand grew up at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church and was baptized here. Her marriage to Bruce as well as the baptisms of their two children all took place in this church. She is a graduate of Florida State University.

Her career has been flavorful, and includes banking, technology, non-profit, healthcare, and financial services and she brings all these to the Administrative Assistant Position. Her other interests include vegetable gardening, jeeping, belonging to an orchid club, and tasting food in different restaurants. She also loves having grandchildren in the family mix.

Faith  Pilflas

Early Childhood Coordinator

Faith is a recent graduate of USF. She joined the staff as Early Childhood Coordinator after attending Hyde Park for a short time. During the work week, she is a part of the public relations team at Moffitt Cancer Center. As a staff member at HPPC, she works to facilitate children’s activities on Sunday morning. This includes many activitities and learning as part of the worship and Sunday School for children. Once a month, she and her helpers provide a “Linger Longer” time for the children so that parents may have some time. Cheryl Cox

Cheryl has been serving at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church as a supply organist and choir accompanist for several years. She previously held organist positions at several churches both in Florida and Western New York, as well as directing adult, children and handbell choirs. Cheryl is a music education graduate of Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York, and received her Master’s degree at State University College in Buffalo. She and her husband, Michael, moved to Florida in 2002 to escape the winters up north, and are now retired from government jobs. They enjoy traveling, watching sports, cats, and visits from their three daughters and 9 grandchildren.

Rebecca Parks

Rebecca Parks has recently joined the staff. She is enjoying getting to know staff members. She lives in Brooksville with her husband. They are the parents of two grown sons but the light of her life is granddaughter Grace.
